YOUthDIG 2026 programme
In the first part of the session, we will prepare participants for their group presentations at YOUthDIG 2026 by equipping them with structured analytical tools and collaborative methods.
Building on the topics identified from participants’ applications, the session will explore key themes in Internet governance. Participants will work collaboratively using a problem - objective tree methodology to identify core challenges in digital governance, analyse root causes and societal impacts and develop concrete, policy-oriented solutions.
The session emphasises youth as active co-creators of Internet governance encouraging participants to translate their ideas into structured arguments that can inform discussions at YOUthDIG and beyond.
In the second part we will have remote moderation training.
Format
Introduction & Icebreaker (15 min)
Group Work – Problem & Objective Trees (40 min)
Participants are divided into 4 thematic groups and work collaboratively to define one core problem within their theme, identify key causes and structural drivers, and map the main impacts on individuals and society. Groups then transform their analysis into solutions by reframing the core problem into a policy goal, turning causes into actionable solutions, and identifying desired positive outcomes.
Break (5 min)
Group Presentations & Discussion (40–45 min)
Each group presents their core problem, key causes and impacts, proposed solutions, and the role of youth in addressing the issue. Short discussion and feedback moments are included after each presentation to encourage exchange between groups.
