Consolidated programme 2024 overview
Driven to changes in the workplace and advances in technology, remote work has become increasingly popular in recent years. Yet the new reality also presents new obstacles to overcome. Businesses are now exposed to new security risks as a result of the growing popularity of remote employment. The increasing frequency of data breaches and cyberattacks has sparked worries about the security of remote work arrangements. How can the ideal environment be set up to guarantee cyber security when working remotely? Remote work offers drawbacks for employees as well. Burnout from extended work hours, feelings of loneliness, and a sense of alienation from coworkers are prevalent problems. How can the welfare of workers be guaranteed?
Session description
The digital safety of a work place is well known as a technical cyber security issue, but at the same time, it is recognized that the biggest cyber security threat is the person using the devices. Safe online behaviour is threatened by hurry, poor processes, lack of knowledge and uncertainness combined with lack of personal connections. Transnational guidelines such as the Cyber Resilience Act provide the framework for all organizations, but positive work place culture can be the key to both affluent cyber security and work welfare. What can the organization’s administration do to foster this culture? That’s the question we are answering in our session.
The second topic is the readiness to innovate and conduct agile experimentations in an organization; a driving force for organizational development. We hope to support organizations in empowering their staff through cyber security skills and team spirit to take the leaps towards development.
DistanceLAB introduces practical online tools to take the next steps in understanding and developing digital safety in work communities with remote and in-person staff. We also provide a strategic tool to develop recruitment and wellbeing actions in the hybrid business environments. Creating a safe and happy community is our shared responsibility!
